See began carving when he was in his early twenties around 1990. He particularly likes to carve mythological creatures such as animal spirits and transformation pieces.
He is the son of Cape Dorset artists Egeevudluk and Napachie Pootoogook. His maternal grandmother, the late Pitseolak Ashoona, was a renowned graphic artist at Cape Dorset.
